About us

The Nevada Sagebrush is the student-run weekly newspaper for the University of Nevada, Reno. The newspaper began as The Student Record in 1893 after a group of students published a student newspaper, despite the Nevada Board of Regents’ wishes. It has been in continuous publication ever since. Its name was changed to The Sagebrush in 1910.

Our office is now located on the third floor of the Joe Crowley Student Union. Readers are encouraged to submit story ideas to an editor. If you’d like to submit a letter to the editor, click here.

The Nevada Sagebrush is published by the students of the University of Nevada for students of the University of Nevada. It is printed by the Sierra Nevada Media Group.

If you are interested in working for The Nevada Sagebrush, please e-mail Brian Duggan at editor@nevadasagebrush.com or call the office at 775-784-4033.
