Great tips and ideas. I’m a little hurt that you left out any information about the programs and student government that the Reshalls offer. You might have mentioned going to any sporting event. We’ve so many student athletes (including UNR club athletes) that could use the support at any home game! Having Pack Pride can keep you pretty busy. Great job at mentioning the club scene, but you don’t have to join a club to attend some events. ASUN’s site lists activites and events that everybody is welcomed to attend like the upcoming “Howl at the Moon” and Flipside’s Movie Series. There is always getting involved in campus tradition. There is a huge drive this semester to bring back traditions. Get involved in Homecoming! There’s a week’s worth of events on the site! Or if a student doesn’t see a club for them among the 180+, they can always start their own club.
I think your article was a great introduction to campus involvement, but you’ve only just scratched the surface.
