The Ron Paul Pack wrote more than 6,000 words, beginning with, “We the People of the United States,” in front of the Lawlor Events Center Sunday afternoon.
Six members from the club wrote the entire U.S. Constitution next to the steps in honor of Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul, who will be visiting the University of Nevada, Reno Tuesday. Paul, who represents Texas in the House of Representative and was the Libertarian Party’s presidential candidate in 1988, will host a rally at 3 p.m. in Lawlor’s Silver and Blue Room.
Ron Paul Pack President Kelly Bridegum said the chalking took five hours.
Bridegum said the chalking served two purposes – to let students know Paul is coming and to show how Paul cares about the Constitution.
“Sometimes it takes a really big gesture to get people’s attention,” she said.
Robert Terhune, the club’s vice president, said the club wanted to make a statement.
“(Paul’s) entire platform is based on the Constitution,” Terhune said.

Our club, the Ron Paul Pack, consists of over 40 members, but only 6 people were able to help chalk the constitution.

Also, you have to capitalize “Libertarian” if you are referred to the actual party.
