Nevada football coach Chris Ault was seen talking to NCAA personnel for about an hour Wednesday as part of an investigation into the athletic department.

Ault, who’s in his third stint as Nevada’s head coach, was in a room with two male investigators and Dr. Jean Perry, Nevada’s special assistant to the president for athletics academics and compliance.

The investigators were the same men as the ones who conducted interviews last month

The NCAA is on campus following up on alleged violations against the University of Nevada, Reno.

The NCAA was in Reno about a month ago looking into allegations into the men’s and women’s golf programs.

Among others questioned Wednesday included former women’s golf coach Jody Dansie and volleyball coach Devin Scruggs.
Nevada officials said that at least one student athlete would be interviewed, but none have been witnessed. The university’s self-imposed investigation last year found that Nevada men’s golf coach Rich Merritt illegally gave a men’s golfer a plane ticket to attend a tournament, dared some women’s golfers to eat regurgitated food and gave women’s golfers improper per diem amounts on a road trip. Merritt was suspended for three men’s golf matches.

Nevada dismissed gambling charges and the NCAA could be looking into those, Nevada Director of Athletics Cary Groth said last month.

Last month, Nevada basketball players Demarshay Johnson and Richie Phillips were seen being interviewed.
