News Brief: UNRPD offers free self-defense class

The University of Nevada, Reno Police Department will host a free rape aggression defense class for students.
The class will be administered in four, three-hour sessions from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Police Services Department in the Fitzgerald Student Services Building. Sessions will be Tuesdays and Thursdays through Sept. 11. Students who wish to attend must attend all four classes.

    “Rape aggression defense class”? I love random word generators as much as the next procrastinator, but this is just ridiculous.

    This is a great step for promoting safety on campus. Now, if only UNRPD actually patrolled our university looking for criminals rather than hand out MIPCs to underage students.
