The Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies in the Division of Health and Sciences at the University of Nevada, Reno has been awarded a subcontract to expand its Center for the Application of Prevention Technologies.
UNR was awarded the subcontract by the Educational Development Center, Incorporated, a contractor of the federal government. Under the contract, UNR will provide substance abuse prevention training and assistance to authorities in 17 states and jurisdictions in western North America and the Pacific.
“The center provides training to help implement substance abuse prevention programs in these jurisdictions,” said Julie Hogan, director of prevention for the program.
