Quarterly report: Third
Saturday, September 5, 2009 - 3:09 PM
Like the first and second, the third quarter belonged to the Irish.
Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen threw an 88-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Michael Floyd. Floyd now has 189 receiving yards and three touchdowns on just four catches.
Nevada was held scoreless and the team fumbled away a chance at scoring deep in Notre Dame territory with 3:44 left in the quarter. The Wolf Pack has one more quarter to get some points on the board, but the outcome of this game was decided long ago. Notre Dame leads 35-0.
