After nine innings of baseball, the Nevada baseball team hit the locker room after game two of the Silver and Blue World Series, without a victor and a 2-2 tie.

The Silver squad got on the board first with a run-scoring ground out by left fielder Nick Melino in the bottom of the first inning.

For most of the game, the Blue squad held a 2-1 league, thanks to a two-run rally in the second inning.

In the fifth inning, with two runners on, Silver squad third baseman Nick Leid hit a single which drove in a run to tie up game.

The blue team came close to regaining the lead when senior center fielder Westley Moss slid into home plate, but was called out by the umpire.

The game was postponed after nine inning, but if the five-game series ends up tied at 2-2, the game will continued after Friday’s scheduled game. The series is scheduled to continue Tuesday, Thursday and Friday with first pitch slated for 8:45 a.m. each day.
