Volleyball team picks up first sweep of the season

The University of Nevada’s volleyball team swept the San Jose State Spartans on Thursday night. The victory snapped a three-match losing streak for the Wolf Pack and improved its record to 8-15 on the season. The sweep was Nevada’s first  of the season.

With the loss, the Spartans record now stands at 1-19.

Junior Kylie Harrington recorded a team-high 11 kills and senior Sonnie Sei had 29 assists for Nevada.

The Wolf Pack had a team hitting percentage of .329, its highest of mark of the season. The Spartans had a hitting percentage of .032 for the match.

Nevada’s next match is Saturday when it hosts Hawaii.
