News brief: Prematurity Awareness

November is the national Prematurity Awareness Month which aims to bring the problems of premature birth to the public eye.
According to the March of Dimes, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing premature birth and infant mortality, the rate of premature birth in America increased 36 percent in the last 25 years.
More information on premature birth is available throughout the month from UNSOM professors and clinics.
