Football: Nevada vs. Boise State quarterly updates

First quarter: Boise State leads 20-0
Boise State receiver Titus Young took the opening kick off 95-yards for a touchdown and the Broncos never looked back.
Nevada’s defense was no match for Boise State in the first quarter, as quarterback Kellen Moore had a pair of touchdown passes to Dan Paul to put the Broncos up 20-0.
Nevada ended the drive on a positive note, driving to Boise State’s 10-yard line before the end of the quarter.
Second quarter: Boise State leads 27-16
Nevada scored its first points of the game after a 26-yard field goal by Ricky Drake. After trading touchdowns, Nevada ended the second half with a three-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Wimberly to cut the lead to 27-16. After giving up 20 points in the first quarter, the Wolf Pack’s defense held Boise State to seven points in the second quarter.
Third quarter: Boise State leads 34-26
Nevada pulled to within eight after a Ricky Drake field goal. The Broncos extended its lead to 15 after a 21-yard touchdown pass, but Nevada answered with a 71-yard touchdown run by Vai Taua.

Vai Taua: 16 carries for 60 yards
Boise State
Kellen Moore: 11 for 18 for 183 yards and three touchdowns
Jeremy Avery: Eight rushes for 24 yards.
