Staff Report

The Sarah Palin flier that has been posted around campus has drummed up quite a bit of controversy. The flier is a product of a class assignment that intended to bring awareness to things going on around campus and give a funny ‘stop and think about it’ message to students, as well as test how much students pay attention to their surroundings. However, this particular flier that said Palin was coming to speak on the university campus pushed the envelope. The QR code on the flier is linked to a misogynistic quote, and the phone number listed directs callers to a phone-sex hotline. The student did not clear the flier with the professor, nor fellow students, and because the aforementioned are disappointed in the message the quote conveys, the class and student will remain anonymous.
