The Associated Students of the University of Nevada presidential candidate Alexandra Patri dropped out of the race.

Jakeyla Hall, the Director of Elections, confirmed Patri dropped out as a candidate for ASUN presidency.

Patri did not comment on her withdrawal.

Alexandra Patri is a third-year student studying business marketing at the University of Nevada, Reno. She currently serves as president of the Student Government Association at Truckee Meadow Community College.

Patri worked to implement Open Educational Resources at TMCC to lower textbook costs and hoped to bring OERs to UNR. She believed ASUN funds should help students’ financial aid as opposed to events.

Before her withdrawal, Patri wanted to help create more online degrees at the university, provide business students with the opportunity to obtain an internship for academic credit in lieu of electives.
