Washoe, the first non-human primate to learn sign language and one of the University of Nevada, Reno’s most famous projects, died Oct. 30 of natural causes. She was 42.

Whirring saws and banging hammers broke the early morning quiet last Saturday at Habitat for Humanity’s build-site in Stead. Flipside programmers and other University of Nevada, Reno students participated in the project.

More than 50 clubs participated in Thursday’s club fair, where students could meet club leaders and members. The clubs’ goals range from helping underprivileged children to grilling witnesses on the witness stand. Here are what a couple of the clubs offer.
