Tomorrow Stoney’s hosts pop-punk group The Starting Line, who were touring when most kids their age were begging their parents for car keys. The Pennsylvania band formed in 1999 when its members were 14. Since then, they’ve released three albums, two EPs and been a regular fixture at summer music festival, The Van’s Warped Tour. Lead singer, Kenny Vasoli talked to The Nevada Sagebrush about playing in Reno, starting to play music so early and being on the road with the band Paramore, who’s sitting the Reno date out.

Whereas George A. Romero’s other zombie flicks manage to analyze human interaction, his latest release, “Land of the Dead,” manages to leave out the believable characters and situations that made the other films great.

“Day of the Dead” is the third installment of George A. Romero’s zombie apocalypse, this time shifting the focus to a group of researchers and antagonistic military guards in an underground bunker.

Romero beautifully blends the stress of surviving the masses of undead outside with surviving the other humans inside.

Unlike other bike shops, the Reno Bike Project sells only recycled frames — every one of the Reno Bike Project’s 200 or so bikes was donated. They’ve sold bikes for as much as $200, but they’ve also traded a fixed bike for a broken bike so a homeless man had a way to get around town.
