I was 18 when I decided to get married to a 20-year-old Army sergeant. He was leaving for his second tour in Iraq and we didn’t want to waste any time. Our period of courting was fast, our engagement faster, but he wanted to marry me so that I would be taken care of, benefit-wise, should anything happen.

Students and other members of the community will have the chance to speak with police officers and code officers about how the social host ordinance will affect their lives at an upcoming meeting.The social host ordinance, which was adopted by the Reno City Council and went into effect June 27, will now allow police to fine the property owner, not just the residents, if they are called out to noise disturbances multiple times.
