Nevada men’s basketball coach Mark Fox is an interesting guy.

I know a lot of coaches don’t like to brag about success or gloat about how good they are, but Fox’s behavior Saturday in the 87-57 win against Louisiana Tech sort of left me baffled.

s_scury2.jpg Nevada pitcher Rod Scurry stands outside the dugout at Peccole Park after practice, smiling and joking around with about 10 teammates.

While the other half of his team is practicing base running, Scurry has his right elbow wrapped with about a pound of ice and teases some of the younger Pack pitchers.

His laid-back demeanor stands out from other players, especially because he’s so easy to notice at 6-foot-7, taller than every teammate by at least two inches.
