The Nevada women’s basketball game on Sunday came down to the last two minutes, but the Wolf Pack couldn’t complete its comeback in a 67-61 loss San Diego State at Lawlor Events Center. The defeat dropped Nevada to 1-1. Sunday was San Diego State’s season opener. The Wolf Pack held a two-point lead going into halftime, which lasted for the first eight and a half minutes of the second half.

Nevada freshman goalkeeper Marie Cove received a red card in Sunday’s game against the Fresno State Bulldogs for colliding with a Fresno player. According to head coach Antoinette Marjanovic, whenever a foul is committed by the last player between the goal and the ball, the fouling player automatically receives a red card.

Lawlor Events Center played host to a dogfight on Saturday as the Nevada women’s basketball team took on the Sonoma State Sea Wolves in an exhibition match. The Wolf Pack came out on top of the bout, beating the Sea Wolves 68-40.

The Nevada women’s soccer team finished the regular season on a down note on Sunday as it fell to the Fresno State Bulldogs 3-1. Fresno State midfielder Amanda Rayes scored first just under 30 minutes into the game as she came down the center and kicked a bouncing goal over freshman Pack keeper Marie Cove’s head.

Nevada equestrian team captain Sarah Tjoa rode an unfamiliar horse around a dusty arena on Saturday wearing a uniform consisting of dirty socks, a dirty sports bra, clean underwear and clean, but stained breeches. The appearance also involved three bottles of hair spray and copious amounts of bobby pins.
