Crimes handled by the University of Nevada, Reno Police Department.
A women reported she was sexually battered mid October near 11th Street and Buena Vista Avenue, according to a university police e-mail sent out Wednesday afternoon.
The woman reported the male suspect came from behind her and touched her right breast. The victim screamed, then ran west on 11th Street.
The suspect is described as a white male adult, between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall wearing a black baseball cap and black hooded sweatshirt.
Police are searching for the owner of a pair of panties found at the south Reno field where Brianna Denison’s body was found.
The Reno Police Department determined the thong did not belong to Denison or the two women from the sexual assaults last year. The black thong has caricatures of the Pink Panther’s head and pink hearts.
“Hundreds of blue ribbons cover the campus – tied to fences, poles and trees.
They started appearing late Saturday, hours after police announced that Brianna Denison’s body had been found.

Volunteer search parties for missing 19-year-old Brianna Denison started last Tuesday. Anyone can go to the command center at Circus Circus Hotel between Fifth and Sixth streets off Sierra Street until Sunday. The search will continue to operate from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
After Sunday, the command center will move to another location that has not been announced, said Lauren Denison, Denison’s aunt. Volunteers can search by foot or distribute ribbons and flyers throughout Reno. Lauren Denison said more than 100 people have volunteered each day, and about 350 showed up to help find her niece Saturday.
Michael Mausbach, a University of Nevada, Reno freshman and chemistry major, died in his sleep Jan. 11 in Las Vegas.The 19 year old’s cause of death is pending toxicology results, the Clark County coroner’s office said.

A former University of Nevada, Reno pharmacy director pleaded guilty Thursday to theft charges for buying items like Disney World tickets and an antique doctor’s bag.
John Q. Adams will pay restitution to the state for using its money to buy more than $4,000 worth of goods between May 2004 and June 2005. The charges were dropped from felony to misdemeanor theft.
