Nevada eliminates NMSU, moves on to play Hawaii

The No. 24 Wolf Pack softball team received a pair of great pitching performances from Katie Holverson and Mallary Darby as Nevada beat New Mexico State on Thursday night 4-1 to advance to the next round of the Western Athletic Conference Tournament.

Holverson earns Pitcher of the Year, heads class of 6 All-WAC honorees

Nevada pitcher Katie Holverson was named the Western Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year earlier today . Holverson was also one of six Wolf Pack members to be named to the All-WAC squad.

A three-game series couldn't have gone any better. The Nevada softball team swept Boise State last weekend, outscoring the Broncos by a combined score of 21-1.

Pack sweeps pair, Puzey ties all-time home run mark

Tuesday, in its first home games of the year, the Nevada softball team swept a doubleheader against Sacramento State. The Wolf Pack won 10-2 in five innings in game one and capped off the sweep with a 4-1 win in game two. The pair of wins extended Nevada's home winning streak to 13 games. The Wolf Pack improved its record to 9-7, while Sacramento State fell to 2-6.
