Use multiple avenues to protest education budget cuts


What is a special session? The Nevada Constitution limits the legislature to meeting every two years and for only 120 days when they do. This means there is a lot of time when the legislature is not in session or able to act. Usually the Interim Finance Committee handles business between sessions, but when the full legislature is needed, the governor can call the legislature back into special session to consider only those matters the governor allows.
