I get it, Dubs is finally in sight after the longest walk of your life, and the line to get into Dubs seems to be even longer than normal. While the urge to dip and go hit up Tonic or even West Second may compel you, I insist you stay in that long Dubs line.
Even though the pregame was like an hour ago at this point and all you want is another drink, a little time in the line never hurt anyone.
So, what can the wait do for you?
- Give you more time to memorize the birthday and address on your totally legitimate ID (even if they don’t end up asking).
- You’ll probably run into more of your friends by standing on the street for like 30 minutes — always fun! P.S. I actually have no idea how long the wait is… I barely remember it usually.
- More time in the line lets the anticipation build. You hear the deafening music coming from inside, you see the overly happy people stumble out the door, you feel the urge to dance to the best DJ in downtown Reno. The more time spent, the more excited you get.
Lastly, once actually in the building, the atmosphere is immaculate. Seeing someone you know in every corner, stumbling up the steps to a second floor packed to the point that it may be a fire hazard, ordering drinks from that same upstairs bar because the wait is much quicker and, most of all, having a great time to start your evening out on the town.
