Nevada Softball opened its 2026 Fall Exhibition Series on Saturday, Oct. 3, and Sunday, Oct. 4, with a three-game sweep against the Feather River College Golden Eagles, Lassen College Cougars and Southern Oregon Raiders.

Game 1: Saturday, Oct. 3 vs Feather River College

The game started with a close first inning, with both teams trading runs. However, Nevada turned on the jets in the second inning, with senior outfielder Bailie Clark hitting an RBI single, sending freshman infielder Julyssa Jimenez home. With Nevada still being on base, junior outfielder Rylie Haith hit an inside-the-park grand slam to extend the Wolf Pack’s lead, making it a 6-1 game.

Nevada’s dominance continued into the third inning after a score from the Golden Eagles, highlighted by senior outfielder Lexie O’Gorman, junior pitcher Talia Tretton and freshman outfielder Grace Maguire. Nevada batted five runs in off four hits, two walks and a tag from third base. 11-2 Nevada after three innings.

The Golden Eagles struggled to find an answer in the fourth and fifth innings, while the Wolf Pack scored another three runs in the fourth inning, coming from  Clark, O’Gorman and Tretton.

Trouble brewed for the Wolf Pack in the sixth inning, when the Golden Eagles scored once while also loading the bases. However, Nevada calmed the storm with a clutch ground-out to end the inning before Feather River College could capitalize.

After being shutout in the fifth inning, Nevada went back to work on offense in the sixth inning, scoring three runs on three hits. 17-3 Nevada after six innings.

Nevada gave up two runs in the seventh and one run in the eighth, but Feather River College’s last-inning efforts weren’t enough. The Wolf Pack continued to pile on runs, with nine coming in the late innings of the game. Final score: 26-6 for Nevada.

Game 2: Sunday, Oct. 4 vs Lassen College

After a 26-run showboat on Saturday, the Wolf Pack wasted no time scoring against Lassen College. Nevada scored four runs in the first inning, courtesy of Clark, an O’Gorman RBI and Tretton’s two-run home run. Freshman first baseman Kiki Harris joined the party with an RBI single. 5-0 Nevada after the first inning.

The second inning was more of the same for Nevada. After Lassen College scored, sophomore shortstop Ashlyn Graklanoff, Clark and Maguire all scored to extend Nevada’s lead. 8-1 Nevada after the second inning.

Although Nevada scored one run in the third inning, that wasn’t the case for the fourth inning. Five runs were batted in off Maguire’s three-run home run, Tretton’s home run and Haith’s home run. 14-1 Nevada after four innings.

The fifth inning mirrored the fourth inning, with another five runs scoring for Nevada. After Harris hit a home run, Glover, Braukus, Maguire and Tretton all had RBI singles to give the Wolf Pack an 18-run lead. 19-1 Nevada after the fifth inning.

The Cougars woke up late in the game, scoring three runs. However, Nevada wasn’t satisfied with the score, as they batted in another three runs just because they felt like it. Final score: 22-4 for Nevada.

Game 3: Sunday, Oct. 4 vs Southern Oregon

The second game of Sunday’s doubleheader was much calmer, and closer, than the previous two games. Nevada started the game with three runs in three innings, and at the same time, did not give up any runs. 3-0 Nevada after three innings.

The Wolf Pack gave up a run to the Raiders in the fourth inning, but soon responded with five more runs in the home-half of the inning to extend the lead to seven. 8-1 Nevada after the fourth inning.

Both teams were scoreless in the fifth inning, but Southern Oregon tacked on another run in the sixth inning to make it an 8-2 score. Nevada answered immediately in the home-half of the fifth inning, with Harris scoring to make it a 9-2 ballgame.

Nevada closed out the seventh inning by only giving up one run. Final score: 9-3 for Nevada.
