Adam Garcia, director of University Police Services, said 13 bikes have been stolen on campus since Aug. 1, compared to two thefts in August of last year.

Greek recruitment is under way at the University of Nevada, Reno, and fraternities and sororities are anticipating hundreds of students to participate in the scheduled events.
Multicultural Greeks began recruiting Monday and will continue through Friday, while sorority recruitment will run Tuesday through Monday and fraternity recruitment will run Sept. 1-13. Sorority recruitment registration closed Monday.
