One of the hottest topics of this election is the presupposed war on Christianity. While candidate Mitt Romney has certainly made his view known, it is former Senator Rick Santorum who uses every opportune moment to deride gay marriage, abortion laws and religious equality in schools as a part of a war on religion.

With the GOP primaries under way, key conservative issues such as state rights versus federal authority have re-emerged. GOP candidates have repeatedly touted the need to send more authority and funding back to the states. As a supporter of the president, I am thrilled with the change of events. While Cain was not a strong candidate with all those reports of alleged affairs and sexual harassment and legal complications, Gingrich is not much of an improvement.

It seems pepper spray has become the standard police response to protests throughout the entire nation. I hear a lot of authority officials claiming it is a response to a direct threat to public safety. I ask to all people of the free world: How is a peaceful protest dangerous to public safety?
